St Peter’s has been educating the children of South Portslade for over 100 years, since it opened in 1906. The school is steeped in history with a beautiful Edwardian building and accessible and highly unusual circular Air Raid Shelters, built during the 2nd World War. Our highly-regarded nursery opened in 2000 and was one of very few Local Authorities Nurseries left in Brighton and Hove, where we offered a fantastic, high-quality education, with qualified and experienced teachers, offering extended hours at very low-cost fees.
Our school has been well known in the community for many years as serving a much-needed provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs in a nurtruing and family environment. St Peter's has always been a unique, special and happy place.
We are devastated to say goodbye to our community, our family of pupils and parents/carers and to each other as a staff. We wish everyone the best summer and future and we will miss you all. Thank you for everything and remember to keep St Peter's in your hearts for it will always be in ours.
With love from Mr Haywood, Miss Lynch and all the St Peter's staff.
