This term in Nursery...
his terms exciting learning journey is Jasper's Beanstalk by Nick Butterworth and Mick Inkpen.
We are going to be gardeners and plant some seeds for our 'stunning start'. The children are welcome to bring their wellies to school on Wednesday in a named carrier bag and we will put them on when we go outside. Then we will need to be patient, just like Jasper, as we wait and watch and carefully look after our seeds.
We are going to try lots of fruit and vegetable for our 'Marvelous Middle' (some of which we will have grown and looked after) and for our 'Fantastic Finish' we are going to dress up as Jasper for the day and have lots of gardening fun!
We will be continuing with our daily phonics sessions this term. The children are enjoying learning about alliteration, rhyming words and we are practising how to orally blend simple words, e.g, c-u-p says 'cup'. Please remember to always use the letter sounds, rather than the letter names as this prepares the children for when they will be segmenting words to spell them.
Have fun learning together!
